X299 monitoring device for i9 7980XE processor
You're using an Asus TUF X299 Mark I with an i9 7980XE and everything seems to function properly. The only issue is the power draw reading, which consistently shows 1.2W despite the actual draw being higher. Both MSI Afterburner and OpenHardwareMonitor display stable temperatures and normal boost performance. Some users suggest disabling a BIOS setting to get an accurate reading, but this affects voltage regulation you'd rather keep automatic. There appears to be no app that reliably shows the correct power consumption at the moment.
Used AI Suite 3 but encountered an issue. Error message received: remote procedure call failed. Proceeding with uninstallation.
The earlier version listed on the download page no longer functions with Windows 11 or recent Windows 10 releases. I had to locate an updated release elsewhere or obtain the board directly from the source for a more current model.
I arrived at my place to adjust BIOS configurations (handled everything via RDP) and turned on the SVID feature, now I can accurately monitor the power consumption.
