It helps a bit, but the improvement is minimal. My ping increased slightly from 170 to 166, which isn't a significant change.

It's fascinating how it varies by region. I tried FFXIV on American servers and it really made a difference for me. My girlfriend and I both played, plus another player from my raid group in the Philippines was using WTFast instead of regular methods. He relied on Pingzapper for cost savings, but I found WTFast more reliable. Even with high stakes, I struggled to recall exact numbers.

I noticed it on Steam once; it received the poorest ratings I've encountered, around an 18% negative score.

This does not resolve any latency problems.

Many users tested it during the Alpha phase of Blade & Soul, all say they experienced faster response times. My own latency was about 60ms, so I didn’t use it much.

I observed a significant variation in an MMO that depends on strong ping (Mabinogi). When playing on servers from the West Coast of the US in Australia, I saw a noticeable boost after trying WTFast. Although it was a while ago, I’m sure there are even better alternatives now.

I only tried it once in Final Fantasy XIV; the Verizon connection to NA servers worked well then. It didn’t help much in any other games.

My response shows a 120 ping from the US to Central Europe.
