Hi all! First post here. Just wanted to share my experience of overclocking on an AIO and then switching to a stock Ryzen Wraith Prism cooler. The title is true for me. Quick rundown of the pc: ASUS ROG B350, Ryzen 5 1600, Deepcool Gamer Storm Captain 120 AIO. Also, I have 2x 140mm intake fans in the front of the case (Phanteks Pro M), 1x 140mm top exhaust, the 120mm AIO rad top exhaust, and a 140mm rear exhaust. This has been the cooling solution for the life of the pc. I have always had the cpu OC'd between 3.85-4Ghz and somewhere between 1.35-1.4v. I can get it to run consistently with no crashes or issue with general use at 4.1Ghz, but it is not truly stable. 3.95Ghz is where I have had the most success (current). Let's just keep this as simple as the testing I did. With the pc in this state, and running Cinebench R20, I would hit peak CPU temps (per Ryzen Master) of 79c, but it would level off to around 75c after fans and pump spin up. Aida 64 is a similar story, but about 5 degrees cooler with a peak of 75c and leveling off to around 70c. I just switched to a brand new Wraith Prism today to test it, and peak temp in Cinebench was 71c and leveled off to 69c, and it was almost identical in Aida 64. Also, my VRM temps seemed to have gone down considerably too, assuming from the downward air from the Wraith cooler. See the attached images, named wraith-prism and deepcool-aio to see the differences. Also, idle temps are slightly lower. the AIO was usually 39-41c and the Wraith cooler is 36-39c. I do not have pics of that, though. Just wanted to share that I have found these stock coolers to be a plenty viable option, even for overclocking up to higher voltages. Again, this is a brand new Wraith Prism, with the factory thermal paste. Hope this helps someone out. EDIT: Haven't posted here before, so didn't know how pics laid out in the post. Top two are the AIO, bottom two are with the Wraith cooler.

I understand, but what I've learned online and seen repeatedly is that a 4GHz OC and 1.4v are not feasible with a standard cooler—essentially a "no way" situation. I wanted to share my observations.

Interesting, your R5 3600 definitely heats up when you crank it to 1.4v. The listed specs are around the mid-70s under heavy use. I’d suggest setting the stock cooler at 1.4v for optimal performance, considering the thermal characteristics and the fact that high-quality silicon handles it well. It might even be a premium build with those adjustments.
