Wraith prism guide for R7 3800x recommendations
Having installed the 3800x into my mobo, I began installing the wraith prism cooler, however, I put it in teller wrong orientation. Fortunately I hadn’t tightened the fan onto the board. although it some force to remove, I rotated it and then installed the fan correctly. I was wondering whether or not I will need to replace the thermal paste, as I don’t own any. I haven’t been able to power on the system to test cpu temps as I am still waiting on a psu.
Mostly it's better to do it, though because it's a new setup it's okay
Thanks for your response. I plan to test it with the fan installed right away. I was worried about leftover components sticking to the CPU after removing the fan initially, especially since I haven’t worked with AM4 motherboards in years. My last build was six years ago using an Intel CPU, so I’m not familiar with AM4 AIOs. I’m thinking about buying an NZXT X63 AIO soon, hoping the stock fan performance will last until then. Appreciate your quick reply!
