WPS disables upon modifying router configuration.
I went shopping at the Salvation Army stores today and discovered a new ASUS router in perfect condition for $8,000. It’s significantly better than the one we currently use. Our ISP installed it back in 2017, but I’m facing an issue with my Wi-Fi extender. When I connect via Ethernet to my PC, everything works fine. However, if I activate WPS on the extender by pressing the button for three seconds and then close the WPS settings on my phone or lock it for a few seconds, the internet drops on my PC and I have to reconnect. What am I doing incorrectly? Please help me.
Which router is this? Many routers have turned off WPS in their firmware because of its security issues. (They originally included WPS, but later removed it.)
