Would you like the app to modify your device settings?
Hello everyone, I’m trying to figure out how to prevent this pop-up from showing up every time I launch a program on my PC. The message asks if I want to let the app make changes to my device. I’d like a way to answer it once and avoid the annoyance of seeing it repeatedly. It’s frustrating because I feel more like a hardware user than someone who interacts with software. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time!
This feature is designed to prevent apps from running without your awareness. It’s wise to avoid letting them execute silently, as they might install harmful software. If you still want to disable User Account Control, you can look up instructions online to remove it.
Thank you for your response. I'm proceeding immediately. Your solution worked perfectly. It's resolved.
It's really risky. I take it even further by confirming my access through a PIN or creating a dedicated admin account for higher privileges.
It varies widely depending on the person and the software. I believe I’ve turned it off for certain tools like MSI Afterburner but not others, such as Intelligent standby list cleaner. It might relate to a proper signature requirement. Generally, anything displaying a strange "windows shield" warning triggers this alert. Edit: I’m not sure why some programs are exempt—seems UAC is partially active.
