Would you like assistance in setting up the optimal configurations for your computer?
I received a PC about two days ago with the following specifications: an I5 4690k processor at 3.5 GHz, a GAINWARD GTX 770 2G graphics card, Z97-A motherboard, 16 GB RAM (4x4 GB), a 700 w hybrid modular PSU, a quiet cooler with three fans. When I tried to overclock automatically and set it to EZMODE for performance, the games kept crashing, especially at high settings where low framerate and freezes occurred. Could someone assist in finding the best BIOS settings?
EZ mode is known to cause these issues. Check your boot priority in the UEFI Bios and try resetting everything to default. If you're planning an OC, do it manually—don’t rely on software since most are just tricks. Just research a suitable sweetspot for your hardware that your cooling system can handle.
And the temperatures are okay since I conducted some checks, my CPU is at 65% and my GPU at 80%.

Would you like a manual overclock recommendation for stability?
You need to Google overclocking guides and do lots of reading. This is a big topic. Even with the same parts no 2 systems overclock the same, it is trial and error. I was and still am an overclocking novice but with a bit of reading I have had good success. There is no single answer.
Let’s keep the conversation open. Overclocking is a complex subject, and it’s hard to cover everything in one thread. You can find plenty of guides online by searching for both overclocking instructions and your specific motherboard and CPU. Reading several sources helps because recommendations can vary—what seems safe for one person might not be for another. I’m not aiming for awkwardness, but there’s no straightforward solution if you’re trying to see how these changes affect performance at stable temperatures.
