I bought a Kingston 240gb SSD after following that guide from HowToGeek. It suggested using a tool to move Windows 10 without removing or reinstalling it, but it mentioned the SSD couldn’t hold everything. Can I transfer just Windows to the SSD without affecting other files?

To clone the drive onto a smaller disk, you must reduce the partition size so it fits within the target storage space.

You can create a copy of your personal data and set up Windows on an SSD, after which you can transfer the backup to the same SSD

Avoid moving an operating system whenever possible. Changes can cause strange software issues if Windows was set up on a hard drive and then transferred to an SSD. This happens because Windows adjusts its settings based on the storage type. SSDs require different configurations, so it usually doesn't matter unless the installation is quite old—often more than two years back.

You can create a backup by saving your data in an external drive, cloud storage, or another secure location.

Yes, a 16GB USB drive should fit comfortably on Windows.

My parents run a hobby shop... I didn’t realize they made a 3.3 until now, haha. It seems like an old-school rustler chassis with slash wheels and a bumper. Quite funny. I haven’t driven a nitro car in ages—I’ve been using electric vehicles since brushless tech came along. Definitely a fun hobby!
