Hey there! You're thinking about jumping back into World of Tanks, huh? After playing with a Tier 7 TD two years ago and selling most gear, you're considering a premium Tier 8 tank. It's a tough decision—does it make sense? And which one should you pick?

If you sold everything yet keep the account, you can repurchase another tier 7 using those funds instead of jumping to tier 8 right away. Or if you have nothing, it's up to you—just don’t recommend anything since I haven’t played long enough to offer sound advice.

I believe my old account is completely gone and I don’t recall any account info. I just want to play the game again without grinding. Can I open a new premium tank on a fresh account and use it to earn money so I can progress the tech trees? In short, I need a powerful tank and don’t want to keep grinding for too long—remembering that the game used to be really tough was a big deal.

They are indeed valid. The main concern is determining the appropriate tier 8 premium to purchase. For maximizing grinding credits, the Jagdtiger 8.8 and IS-6 are the top options. Avoid the Superpershing and the Panther mit 8,8 A; pay attention to the specific tree you're targeting. If you're focusing on Soviet heavy units, the IS-6 is preferable. However, for Chinese heavy line content, the 110 offers a better alternative than the IS-6.

I’m starting a new account right now after a long break, and I’m aiming for a high-tier tank quickly. I’ve lost all my experience in WoT, but I still want to try. Do you think it’s worth it for someone just getting back in?

If you invested roughly the same cost as a Prem T8 tank on free XP, it could take you a significant distance through the German Tank Division tree, especially if you focus on models like the Tiger I or Panther.

To enjoy elite vehicles across countless matches, you won’t find free experience easily. You’d need to tackle an elite tank first and then transfer its earned points into your available free experience. Switching to a premium tank is better, but loading gold and converting experience can be risky—your team might not handle it well.

It seems there’s no simple solution. You might consider a T8 upgrade, but it could limit your options to T8 models only. I wonder if the T8 tank would fit well with T9 or T10 tanks.

If you aim to grind the German TD line, purchase a Jagdtiger 8.8 and grind for the line. This lets you switch between two tanks. Also, update your crew from tier 4/5 onward so their experience isn't wasted. Finally, place it in the Jagdtiger 8.8 since it's a high-tier tank.

Yeah, maybe I'll try it out. I still remember how great the Stug was when I used to play it. It's an awesome weapon for sniping, and I feel like I'm more into precision shooting than going for fights.
