I’ve been a regular on WoW since 2005 and have never missed a month. I put together all my characters and accumulated around 37 to 40,000 hours. Retiring early let me enjoy playing daily for years. It really means a lot that you’re reaching out! Thanks for your help – it’s great to see you again in Cataclysm!

Cataclysm? That was a decade ago, wasn't it? I'm currently in the Shadowlands. I just updated my yearly membership. I still own three copies of the Mists of Pandaria Collectors edition. My wife claims you helped keep us together.

Cataclysm Classic drops its first half of 2024 now. Right now I’m just enjoying Wrath Of The Lich King Classic. I don’t care about Dragonflight, so I’m sticking with the older expansions. They seem more popular than the regular WoW version. Of course, this is part of your usual subscription, letting you test WOTLK and maybe get Cataclysm soon! Haha, glad I could help.

I'm going to research those old games. In my youth, things were different—I'll be 70 by October. Stay safe.

Fantastic! Met quite a few older players over the years and especially in a WW2 military sim called Hell Let Loose. What is happening now is we are 'redoing' the world of warcraft expansions as they were from 2005 until current date. This allow people to experience how WoW used to be back when they couldnt play or werent even alive to play.. Obviously Blizzard have added a bit of goodies like an option for WAY more difficult dungeons and better loot... Considering WOTLK was actually quite easy, we were just absolute shit players back then So we have already had Vanilla WoW that released in 05, we have continued through TBC ( The Burning Crusade ) and we are currently in Wrath Of The Lich King from 2008-2010 with Cataclysm releasing soon, taking over from Wrath. This is named World of Warcraft Classic. There is no reason to go back to Vanilla Classic, TBC classic as everyone is playing WOTLK Classic and waiting for Cataclysm Classic. Characters transfer over when a new expansion is released for classic of course. You can obviously play WoW Classic AND shadowlands / Dragonflight, as much as time allows anyways Enjoy gaming with your new graphics card! Catch you around bud.
