I recently purchased a b550 mobo and didn't notice the 3200g wasn't compatible. I thought it was fine, but then I tried and it successfully connected and booted into Windows without issues.

the b550 chipset works with zen 2 (r3 3200g runs zen 2) and zen 3 (x570 supports zen+ zen 2 and zen 3)

The G chips usually run AMD's earlier design, while the Ryzen 3000G uses Zen+.
