The board supports both an 8-pin and a 4-pin connection for CPU power. Your PSU only provides 8 pins, so you should connect both cables to ensure proper power delivery. The 4-pin isn't compatible with the current setup, and using a PSU without matching cables could cause issues. Consider upgrading to a PSU with the correct pin configuration if possible.

For clarity, is it essential only for top-tier CPUs such as the 5900x? It can also help if you aim to overclock your 5800x. You're free to upgrade your PSU, as this one is fully refundable.

Sure, focus on gaming performance metrics from sources like HWUnboxed and Gamer's Nexus. PBO might not be worth the effort if you're prioritizing benchmark results. Be aware of recent BIOS updates that could affect stability.
