Hello, I'm checking out the technical preview of Windows 10 on my Dell OptiPlex 780 since March. It seems the update went fully, but I'm curious—was this an issue caused by Microsoft or just a test reward for beta users? Are others having the same experience? Thanks!

That's also true for insider preview versions, which is essentially a kind of incentive.

You're welcome! Yes, you can set up the technical preview on any PC by burning the ISO to a disk and updating to the complete version.

The requirement is to remain enrolled and try upcoming changes. It seems no suitable guide was located quickly, though I recall hearing about automatic removal if you choose not to opt out later.

This update includes a hidden element. Microsoft will send out updates before launch; you need to apply them to remove the risk. If ignored, the element will become inactive and your system may stop functioning.
