I’m dealing with a recurring issue where WOL only connects once despite following setup steps. First, ensure all configurations are correct—check port forwarding, DDNS binding, and MAC-to-IP mapping. Make sure your PC stays powered off during testing. If you’re using a phone, try connecting it directly to the PC instead of through WOL. Once it works on the phone, switch back to WOL remotely. If the problem persists, restart both devices and verify network settings.

From a Linux perspective, this applies equally to Windows as well: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Wake-on-LAN
