WoL
WoL
It’s interesting to consider, but connecting a Wi-Fi receiver to your Ethernet port won’t directly help you send a WoL package. WoL is typically handled by the wireless adapter itself, not through an Ethernet connection. You’d need to use the appropriate driver or interface for that purpose.
Currently there isn't a widely recognized standard for Wake on WLAN. The most effective method is to maintain your PC in Sleep mode while keeping the network adapter active, allowing it to respond to the Wi-Fi signal even when connected through WLAN. In Windows, you can enable this by opening Device Manager, selecting your network adapter, right-clicking, choosing Properties, then Power Management, and setting it to allow the device to wake the computer. Also, adjust the Wi-Fi signal settings accordingly. Regarding connecting a Wi-Fi receiver to an Ethernet port, it's a new setup I haven't encountered before.
