Hi, I own a gaming PC but haven't played games anymore, so I'm using it for mining altcoins. I'm wondering if my PSU can handle two graphics cards. I currently have an Amd Rx470 with 4GB RAM, an Rx570 with 4GB installed, and it came in the box. My specs are: PSU - Corsair 550W, RAM - 8GB, Processor - i7-4790, HDD - 2TB. I'm not gaming anymore just mining and using it for general tasks like watching movies and YouTube. Should this PSU be suitable for mining with these two cards? I've enabled BIOS modifications on the Rx470 but won't change the new Rx570, and I'm new to overclocking and underclocking so here are my afterburner settings.

except for mining, gaming experiences have had dips in performance, which can cause temperature drops, while mining doesn't, making it extremely stressful for components.

I wouldn't do it on that PSU.

13thmonkey explains the situation, noting that gaming has caused temperature drops and mining doesn't, making components very stressed. They mention a link they found but say they won't risk it and are considering buying a new power supply.

This one is not suitable for mining, gaming has had dips in performance which can lower temperatures, but mining causes significant stress on components. Will it work? Check the link.

the supply seems adequate, but it's unclear if 470 and 570 would consume that much power. the graphics card would need around 300 watts each, making a total of 550 watts.
