When I was a teenager, I used to play online games across the country for Counter-Strike, Counter-Strike: Source, Unreal Tournament, and Quake 4. I was really good at it back then. Now, if I play Counter-Strike again, I feel terrible—it's awkward. Do you think others experience this kind of decline in skills over time? I believed practice would help improve, but it doesn't always work that way.

I spent a lot of time playing Counter Strike Source and Code4 Promod for fun. I tried the ESEA client for Promod but didn’t go deep. I also played Quake 4 and Quake Live. Going back to those games makes me really bad at them now. At 28, I feel more at ease with slower, tactical shooters such as Squad or Hell Let Loose. The only competitive game I play remotely right now is Rainbow Six Siege.
