Hey, I'm playing Witcher 3 at 4K ultra with SLI 980TIS and no AAS. My frame rate usually stays between 65 and 75 FPS. But when I enable VSync, it drops to around 40 FPS for most of the time. Anyone else experience this issue? Do you know if anyone has fixed it? Thanks in advance!

The game "witcher 3" and "fps" together appear in a title that conveys action, speed, and excitement.

Only three frames per second? It looks like you're referencing the number three again, as it's the third time this subject comes up.

Turn off Vsync during gameplay, open the NVIDIA Control Panel, navigate to the 3D application settings, select the application from the dropdown, then adjust the vertical sync to "Adaptive."

In game vsync it constantly adjusts the frame rate for an unknown reason.

It’s unlikely you need VSync for a static refresh rate display anyway. For the issue in question, could your monitor be set to 40Hz during gameplay? You might want to check the NVIDIA control panel and request it use the maximum available refresh rate, perhaps under the 3D settings section.

Using vsync can cause performance issues and unnecessary redraws, leading to lag or unresponsiveness in your application.
