Witcher 3 follows a powerful character pursued relentlessly across the world.
My level is 10, and I’m not strong enough to beat Jenny o the woods at her intended difficulty. I’ve played through 8th, 9th, and 10th, but died many times. She has a healing ability I can’t keep using because of bombs or signs. It looks like her health restarts every time I try to heal her before she activates it. I only have two bombs that claim to stop the healing, but they don’t seem to work. My next plan is to get the Griffin School gear, hoping it gives enough damage to prevent her full regen. The issue is that this gear was supposed to be available at level 7 but now starts at 11. I’m stuck trying to reach level 32 teleportation and getting shot from full, but I can’t damage it. I’m unsure what caused the teleport issue—it feels like a game bug. Would restarting the whole game be necessary if I accidentally triggered something unfinished?
Would be easier if you could capture the thing following you on a screenshot.
From what I understand, they shouldn't follow you too much on the map, but something seems off. It's been a while since I played. You might be able to bypass the issues so you don't need to restart. Adjusting the settings in-game can help: enable debug mode, set invincibility, turn off god mode, and disable god effects. These changes won't impact your Steam achievements.
This would be a method to eliminate the annoying obstacle so I could continue. I’m willing to attempt a screenshot, but this seems simpler. God mode and removing the annoying character. Character details: It’s level 32, name starts with “L” like Lamictal or similar. Likely a single entity or type. Standard health bar, not boss-specific. Uncertain. Resembles a tree-like being, about 1.5 to 2 times human height. Can teleport, and occasionally hits me with spells that summon trees nearby. Evan is underground. Has decent range. I’m at level 5 with maximum melt on my Ignis, but I can only sustain two casts. After two casts, I still can’t inflict noticeable damage on its health bar. After the fifth or sixth death, I learned to just flee. It can’t teleport as quickly as my sprinting speed, so I can keep up. It will pursue me across different maps. Thanks for the reply—everyone will try god mode to see if I can finish this. Maybe even Jenny, since I’ve spent a week trying in real time and it’s getting too frustrating. I’m settling for following the walkthrough a bit, because most guides assume a Griffin level 7 which clearly isn’t possible anymore. This walkthrough was from 2018, so it looks like the Witcher gear was heavily nerfed, breaking the game for players without quick reflexes.
Could it possibly be referred to as a Lechen? Their teleporting abilities match the description well. They should definitely not be following you around the map.
It’s been a while since I did this, but I’ll recall it now. You need to act fast and eliminate the duplicates. Yrden, that purple symbol you make on the ground, helps you attack her directly. The other part you mentioned reminds me of a Leshen—I’m not sure why she’s following you so much.
It seems like this character has dealt with some hazardous exposure, which is why their health bar looks a bit reduced. When the teleportation occurs, they either survive or perish instantly.
You likely have a very uncommon issue here. Have you attempted an auto-save before you first met that foe? Otherwise, using the console command might be your most effective option. Alternatively, you could edit your save file, but the console command would likely be quicker and easier.
I’ve heard that yrden is the only solution. It looks like yrden is essentially useless, just a minor tweak. Movement is a bit slower, but that’s about it. They claimed yrden was the best method to capture the grave hag, but it didn’t work. I eliminated her by landing a few hits and letting her retreat to recharge my delusion, then repeating the process. I faced her over a dozen times, but eventually succeeded. It seems someone deliberately made the game extremely tough for newcomers, turning it into something nearly impossible to play. That person ruined the experience. Someone should check out that clichéquest web comic—I think it explains what happened.
