Just purchased a nighthawk x6 but am stuck at 10mbps. QoS disabled and set up as an access point didn’t help. I have a 50-foot Cat5e cable from school. The issue is with Xfinity—my device drops to 10mbps both wired and wireless. Got any suggestions?

I experienced the same issue with one of these devices. I later moved to the xfinity router/modem combo, which turned out to be just as effective. I suggest visiting your browser and entering 192.168.1.1 or 10.0.0.1 (or your IP address) to log in to the router and check the settings for any speed restrictions. If you need further help or this doesn't resolve the problem, feel free to reply.

Issue is security and the Xfinity modem/router lacks coverage I need to determine how to adjust my own connection speed.
