I’m looking for a solid wireless headphone set around £250. It should work well for both daily commutes and playing games on my PC, especially FPS titles like EFT, CS, and Valorant where directional audio matters. I don’t need a mic built into the headphones; I’d prefer either a detachable or an invisible mic. Ideally, it should support a 2.4GHz dongle connection for the best performance, and it should be compatible with charging. The Sony XM5s aren’t reliable for PC gaming, so I’m open to other options.

I’m hoping you can recommend something that meets these needs.
[Edit] From what I’ve seen, wireless gaming headsets under £250 often fall short, especially when it comes to the microphone quality, and I’d rather keep my budget from covering unnecessary costs.

From my research, I believe the Sennheiser Momentum 4 is a strong choice.
This is because the headphones meet all four criteria you mentioned.
Pros - understood. Are there any drawbacks?
If you haven't checked yet, I recommend visiting Sennheiser's website and reviewing their headphone documentation and FAQs.
https://www.sennheiser-hearing.com/en-US/support/
(Please confirm you've reached the correct page.)
The goal is to assist in making this decision, irrespective of product or manufacturer.

For most gaming sessions, Momentum 4 headphones are a superior option compared to the Sony XM5. While the Sony model offers better noise cancellation and sound quality, its battery life is much shorter—around 27 hours versus the Momentum 4's 60+ hours. This makes the Momentum 4 more practical for extended gaming periods. If you're willing to sacrifice some audio fidelity and ANC features, the Sennheiser remains a strong alternative.

Neither of them offers excellent sound quality. The Sennheiser wireless game feels weak, while the Sony options are just outdated beats with ANC.

The Sony XM5 sounds noticeably superior to the Beats Studio Pro in terms of audio quality, especially when measured against other similar-priced options. However, finding a perfect pair of headphones would require a much higher investment.

The audio characteristics of them are primarily bass-heavy. It's a thick, murky bass that overshadows everything else. Their sound matches the same profile as it was ten years ago.
