Wireless access point for wide area coverage
Searching for a strong Wi-Fi coverage option. Rural areas usually provide around 40 Mbps. Looking for a mesh router to span 5 to 6000 square feet. Simple setup is important due to limited bandwidth and the need for ease of use. Focus on dependability, user-friendliness, and range. The TP Link Deco M4 is listed at $170 CAD on Amazon. Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated.
It seems like a blend of ideas here. They’re looking for the house with some front and backyard coverage, at least on the main floor and basement. An external garage would be nice and could be covered too. The space is just one level. The garage could be separate—maybe set up one device outside and run an Ethernet cable to it. I probably overestimate how reliable things need to be. My dad has been working from home lately and gets frustrated when things break during meetings. Most people just want everything to function properly. I don’t have much experience with networking, and I won’t be staying with them long enough to handle complex setups. Switching with hardwired connections feels too complicated for now. Thanks for the suggestions—they’ve sparked some thoughts.
Great choice on the timing. This video isn't quick—maximum 150mbps—but it delivers steady performance and strong reliability across a wide area. Deco x20 by TP-Link offers comprehensive home WiFi coverage with noticeable stability. YouTube
