I was organizing files on my hard drive and found a file named WinRing0. I don’t recall any connection to it, and there’s no information about it online. Could you tell me more about its appearance or behavior? If it’s harmful, let me know how to safely remove it.

You're currently scanning for malware using Malwarebytes, and so far no threats detected. Since the download date aligns with your EVGA PrecisionXOC install, it's possible the rootkit was bundled with that software. Consider checking your installation folder or contacting EVGA support for more details.

Verify it yourself using the right mouse button to find the file—your answer might appear. Also, try Autoruns for additional help.

I removed the file and all connected items, ran Malwarebytes to verify everything was clean just in case. All my expectations came true—either way, it was safe, and nothing significant happened.
