winmoreprize.com for Windows adware problems
I'm dealing with a problem where a tab opens unexpectedly in Chrome—removed. It seems like this might be a new type of adware that's hard to detect. I looked up the issue online but found no clear solutions. My ESET security app blocks access, yet scanning my PC shows nothing suspicious. The Tasks window also doesn't show anything unusual running in the background. Any suggestions on what could be happening? Edited July 26, 2018 – GoodBytes link removed
It appears unexpectedly without any interaction, especially when I don’t click anything in Chrome. Sometimes opening YouTube results in a new tab and displays content.
These sections don’t show up in Incognito mode, which suggests an added extension is active. They remain unavailable there.
None of the items on the stand out as highly suspicious unless they were installed from the store. It’s best to drop the ones you don’t need, or try separate Chrome profiles with different extensions if applicable. Checking them in Incognito mode could help us explore other options.
Regarding plugins for software integration, such as Ace Player, it can install extensions that let you access links directly within the browser while also displaying ads that launch new tabs each time you open the browser.
