Op seems to be my intent, yes I’m aiming for the main boot setup and completely eliminated the other SSDs.

OP confirms the discussion with @MrHaydenJr. It seems USB boot could be affected in the BIOS settings, possibly showing an error like "No boot device detected." A slower USB connection would likely indicate a 1.1 or 2.0 interface, which tends to be less efficient. Updated January 24, 2023 by An0maly_76 with additional details

I rely on 2.0 ports and storage continuously, but I haven’t experienced this issue before. It might be 1.1 or even 1.0 if the speed is low.

The system appears to be a 2-core LGA775 processor running at around 2.53 GHz, likely an Intel 1.0 model, though a 1.1 might be possible depending on the situation. Your current setup isn’t being criticized; it’s about exploring potential upgrades. You could consider swapping in an Intel Q9400 for approximately $8 on eBay if your board allows it. There are some intriguing LGA775 upgrade guides available, such as the $69 Gaming PC videos, which demonstrated that many improvements are still feasible. Determine what processors your motherboard supports—whether it’s a ready-made unit or a custom build. Adding an SATA M.2 drive connected via an NGFF adapter can also make a difference; this setup uses a pre-installed Windows 10 and is great for extra storage. If you’re open to shipping, using the new drive for game saves would be practical. Let me know your location if you want more details.

OP has mentioned it before, and the Q9400 is compatible: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-...upport-cpu

I overlooked it too. Taking these new medications has made me sleepy and drowsy all the time, which is already tough... @LoMi. Check out that Q9400 for $8 I mentioned. https://www.ebay.com/itm/185738173596?ha...SwPfdjw1Ob
