Hello, if you're checking in, I just wanted to ask about reinstalling Windows on a new SSD. I ordered the drive recently and have a few questions. Could someone share their experience or any tips? Thanks in advance for your help!

Disconnect the HDD, connect the SSD, follow the guide at the provided link. Ensure the SSD is set as the priority on boot in BIOS. Replace the HDD with the SSD, transfer your important files there, and move all photos, music, and other media to the SSD. Clean up the remaining HDD partitions via disk management, then use the HDD as a fresh storage drive.

You can duplicate your storage with Macrium Reflect, but you’ll require a second machine (desktop) or at least an external hard drive and USB stick to start the bootable version if you only have a laptop with one SATA port.

You can use the flash drive without removing it, but ensure it's properly connected for data transfer.

Yes, keeping your current drive connected can lead to confusion about the boot partition location.

For Windows 10 to run on the SSD, choose option 1. Selecting option 2 will maintain the installation on the HDD while deleting all applications and data.
