After updating to the 1709 version, you can revert to the previous version since the new one introduces many issues. It’s frustrating.

Many glances are made, but it doesn’t feel right while working.

Are you experiencing frequent blinking on your monitor? Is your computer running slowly? You might want to review your drivers. Could you tell me what your system is?

After the update, it feels a bit off—not smooth, just quirky. I'm using an i7 7770k with a 1080 full water cooling setup, all hand-built.

You might have two posts because your overclock at 5GHz is likely causing problems. Try lowering the overclock until you reach a stable system.

With the latest Windows version, you have limited options for updates. The best approach is to begin troubleshooting by ensuring everything is properly installed, then proceed step by step. The flashing or blinking on the screen indicates a graphics card problem, making it a good starting point.
