There seems to be no built-in option in Windows to display terabytes directly instead of tebibytes. You’ll need to adjust your settings or use third-party tools to manage storage units appropriately.

Heh. It’s interesting since it’s actually accurate. I’ve always thought tebibytes were a place where some marketers tried to trick people and managed to get away with it because they claimed it was more precise. So someone received a bonus, and everyone had to follow up. That happened a long time ago, though. Now, according to the hardware reports, there’s a standard where only older storage like HDDs and DDR memory are measured in terabytes, while anything wireless is counted in tebibytes. If that’s true, it would likely need a converter added rather than removed, and it’d have to be selective—adding cost to implement.
