Hello forums, I'm curious about this—does it usually take longer for a RAID 0 setup to boot into Windows compared to booting a single drive? It seems like it might add around 30 to 50 seconds extra. Not too alarming, but I'm still trying to figure it out.

Use disk benchmarking tools such as AS SSD Benchmark to evaluate your RAID 0 setup and compare it with a single drive. RAID can require a bit more time to start than a single drive because it needs to initialize all the connected drives, though this impact varies with the number of drives involved. With just two drives, the difference shouldn’t be significant. If you have an 8-drive configuration like Linus does, booting will take noticeably longer.

The issue appears quite likely. Updating the BIOS could assist, though initialization times vary across different motherboards.

It looks like you're suggesting checking your BIOS settings, similar to what Enderman recommended, and testing it afterward.

The only BIOS version available for the Rampage V Extreme seems to be the same, possibly because the storage devices need more time to boot.

It could also be because the Rampage V Extreme is a newer motherboard, which means the BIOS is still being refined and enhancements are being made.
