Windows starts working once you install the new CPU and motherboard.
The issue with your Windows not booting properly is causing it to freeze, and it displays a message asking for help.
Your system age might affect whether the Windows key appears on the older version. Try a fresh installation of Windows 10 trial to check.
She can't speak, but there are pictures on the hard drive. I tried fixing it, but it didn’t help. If I switch to another motherboard, will the hard drive still function?
It should work correctly. Backups are performed prior to any significant hardware modifications. Having an additional drive or a functional desktop allows you to use it as a standby system.
You have Windows 7 it doesn't handle hardware changes. Only Windows 10 can do this. (beside switching from GPT to UEFI or the reverse. That is a BIOS/UEFI limitation, not Windows, it will tell you that it can't find a boot device, and switching from SATA Controller mode (SATA / RAID / Legacy (IDE), which Windows can't handle). You'll need to re-install Windows on the system. Please note that if you changed your motherboard, and you have a OEM/System Builder OEM license, Windows cannot be activated as the license is locked to the first motherboard it is installed on. It is not transferable, hence the lower price tag over retail box license.
You can use a different computer to set up the installation, transfer the data onto it, and then reset the drive so you can perform a fresh Windows 10 trial setup without a license.
Consider making a bootable Linux USB, start your PC from it, then transfer files like photos from the internal HDD to an external storage device. After backing up everything, perform a clean Windows 7 installation on the internal drive. Make sure the external drive isn’t connected during the setup to avoid any data changes.
