Windows solution for all your needs.
Windows solution for all your needs.
I understand this has been discussed before, but I’d appreciate your thoughts since I missed the previous conversation. Still, I’m stuck on this—there’s only one OS for desktop, Xbox, and tablets/mobile. I already dislike the idea. In my view, Linux should push game development faster so I can switch to it permanently.
I actually quite like windows, it's less work than linux but not as...well OS:X. It's a nice balance that offers a large amount of customization if you want it but it works if you don't feel like fucking with it. I think if they do it well it will be amazing, that being said I don't think they will do it well for another iteration after windows 9, and seeing as I like 8.1 well enough I'll wait until they get it right.
It seems like you're discussing a project idea with some challenges. While the concept has potential, implementing it effectively remains difficult. Windows 8 is moving closer, but achieving a seamless, user-friendly interface across platforms isn't straightforward.
If things turn out well, I’ll proceed—currently I’m sticking with Windows 7, whether updated or not.
They refer to a single operating system when they discuss its core structure and codebase. They aren't suggesting a particular graphical user interface. Instead, it will share the same underlying architecture while each platform has its own distinct GUI. A helpful comparison is Android—whether you use a Nexus, Samsung, LG, or HTC device, the same Android foundation runs but with unique visual designs tailored to each device and input method.
Yep, but I hope it isn't too much less efficient than Xbox 360 or something similar. Otherwise, the gaming scene could really suffer. I'm still sticking with seven.
