I put in a new motherboard (Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3) and also added the FX-8320E processor. When I tried to boot with Windows installed, it automatically repaired the drive. After completion, it still had problems, so I reset the drives to remove all files. Now when I start up and pick that drive, Windows can’t find it. Did I just wipe the Windows from my PC? I’ve done this before and usually it just resets everything factory. I’m currently using Windows 10.

Windows might be experiencing problems due to your new motherboard. Consider reinstalling it or switching to a different one. You're on Windows now.

You're asking for clarification on what you meant earlier and why you prefer reinstalling Windows instead of using another method. Let me explain.

This will occur when you switch chipsets. Refer to the instructions in my signature.

I checked the internet a bit more and the main problem I see is that I damaged my MBR, so I’ll have to get a fresh Windows copy because I don’t have a repair installation disk.

Starting the process now. Downloading Windows 10 to your USB drive. I’ll let you know once it’s complete.

Yeah, I was going to say, you should be able to make ISO file from the Windows 10 download tool. I would clean install from there. My advice is to let Windows update fully before installing anything...I had some issues with my laptop (And my Windows Server 2016) where I installed something and it interfered with the updates...resulting in me clean installing both computers again...

Windows isn't updating because your device can't locate Windows.
