Consider inserting the key onto the site to verify its current validity. If it fails, proceed with a system restore or similar action.

I attempt to type in my key on Windows, and it confirms it’s valid. Clearly, this happened after I installed Windows roughly a week prior. The issue only appeared following the recent update, which seems to have broken the activation.

Hello, I understand you're facing a similar issue. I've set up an account here to assist those who couldn't resolve this problem. I've come across some potential fixes, but they didn't apply to me. I'm not sure if anyone else managed it, but I was able to fix mine by removing all recent updates and then restarting the computer. After that, open Microsoft Office and enter your product key. If that doesn't work, try uninstalling Microsoft Office completely and reinstalling it following the guidance. Let me know if this helped you.

I forgot to start this discussion. After a week and a half, I tried again to install updates and one of them resolved the issue. I don’t know which one or why it worked but it did. It would have helped to update sooner... memory loss. Thanks for the tip—I could have used that advice then!
