Yesterday I was watching a movie on my PC, and suddenly it fell asleep in the middle. It didn’t need to be near the computer—it just shut down on its own. I haven’t seen anything like that before. My power settings are set to maximum performance, and sleep mode is turned off. When I looked into Windows logs, I found an unusual error about permission issues for a COM Server application. Later, another log showed the system entering sleep because of an application API reason. There’s also a note that the Desktop Window Manager registered the session port. What might be happening?
