You're trying to copy your PC screen to a TV, but it's not working properly. The drivers for your GPU are updated, yet the process keeps repeating. Some advice suggested updating Windows, which you did, but now you're stuck on Windows 11 and still seeing the same error messages. When you press Win+P and click duplicate, it fails again. Your dad is really upset! Let me know if you need further help.

because he isn’t familiar with the process himself? What I can do is suggest you try a few extra steps that might resolve the issue.

I've tried already, but clicking duplicate doesn't work. It stays in the extended view without any changes to the settings.

Change main display mode, adjust resolution, rearrange screens on the larger canvas, then choose clone over extended. If unsuccessful, revert to Linux.

What kind of GPU are you using? AMD and Nvidia offer control panels to adjust display settings. Right Click desktop > Show more options > Display Settings here is where you can configure features like extending or duplicating screens. This menu typically functions in Windows 11, allowing you to duplicate options—such as setting Extend these displays—by clicking on the current option once.

There isn't a feature to copy using an NVIDIA RTX 4080 directly.
