I replaced the CPU in my Lenovo L420 with an i5-2540 while it had an i3-2330. The old Windows 7 HDD worked well, but the new Windows 10 HDD causes freezing when loading the icon. Switching back to the i3 CPU fixes everything. I’m confused about what’s happening and why the automatic system repair also freezes.
