Windows reducing performance when CPU is busy
I maintain a consistent 4.7GHz overclock on my i7 6700K. During regular tasks like browsing, the speed remains stable around 4.65Ghz. However, during stress tests or games such as Battlefield V, performance drops significantly to about 4.3Ghz, often fluctuating between 3.7Ghz and 4.0Ghz. Once I stop whatever I'm doing, the frequency quickly returns to 4.65Ghz. I've reset the battery BIOS, adjusted power settings, disabled Intel C-State in BIOS, and set minimum CPU usage to 100% in Windows Power Management. I've also turned off all power-saving features on my MSI Z170-A. My readings are normal, but I'm still struggling to identify a fix. I haven't found any solutions online yet.
This doesn't impact how I function. The CPU is operating as intended.
