You might think about other options—just do nothing. Your system has plenty of RAM; using all 8GB is normal and should boost performance. You shouldn’t worry if programs feel slow, since you’re already paying for it. Using only 2GB wouldn’t be a waste, and you probably don’t need more memory right now. Focus on what matters instead of fretting over a small issue.
