I've tested the same computer across three different Windows versions, and it's been running slowly and with issues. I'm planning to upgrade to a fresh operating system while preserving my games and files. The setup includes a 240GB SSD for the OS and two 1TB hard drives. I'm considering merging those drives into one SSD and a second 2TB drive, but I don't want to risk losing data on the original drives. Does Windows RAID support merging disks safely?

Configuring a raid will delete the disks you wish to include. That’s why raid exists in the first place. Transfer all the information from the drives, create a RAID setup, and then reinstall everything.

Even with a spanned raid setup, it's frustrating moving over terabytes of data to a USB 2 external drive

It definitely needs proper formatting from my previous version. It's frustrating, but revising usually takes a full day.
