Windows patches trigger graphics card failure (kernel issue)
My computer began crashing during gameplay some time ago, and now I’m at my breaking point. The system restarted unexpectedly without a clean shutdown. This could mean it froze, crashed, or lost power suddenly. After installing Furmark, the test crash occurred right when it started. It seemed likely a G-Card issue. I tried updating the graphics driver and reinstalling it, but that didn’t fix it. Through extensive troubleshooting, I checked the Event Viewer and found the crashes traced back to November 15th. Also noticed two Windows updates the day before (KB5019961 and KB5020617). Removing those updates resolved the problem. Odd since they weren’t related to graphics. Hope this helps others facing similar issues.
