It worked on my install with 1000 In my case I have a D: partition after C: and WinRE stuff on my boot drive, so I needed to use 3rd party software, don't think you can do it in Windows

You haven't found what you were looking for. Despite checking hidden files and system directories, only visible folders appear. I attempted to use WizTree as well, but it didn't help.

The attempt didn't succeed, I raised the size to 1.2GB but the problem remained.

My Windows 11 update isn't functioning properly, yet third-party tools are operating correctly. Two options are available - https://www.carifred.com/wau_manager/ and https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/wumgr.html. Both perform well.

It's possible it doesn't exist in your case. That's plenty of space. That's no longer the issue or would contribute as such. Are you sure Windows RE status is good? (note: your partition number may be different) C:\Windows\System32>reagentc /info Windows Recovery Environment (Windows RE) and system reset configuration Information: Windows RE status: Enabled Windows RE location: \\?\GLOBALROOT\device\harddisk1\partition5\Recovery\WindowsRE ~~ REAGENTC.EXE: Operation Successful.

It's not the issue with Windows updates themselves. The problem occurs when restarting to apply the update, as it fails and requires a rollback.

You ran the command before and after resizing, everything looked okay. I’m unsure if reinstalling Windows is necessary since the software and settings should remain intact, but it’s uncertain.

Run the health scan using dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth. If any problems are detected, execute dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth to fix them.

Executed the tests as originally planned, and the system responded correctly. I reran the checks just to confirm, but no results were returned. It seems unclear why the failure occurred—no clear indication was provided.
