Hey everyone! I’m planning a new PC build and wanted to hear your thoughts on Linux versus Windows. As a gamer, I’m focusing on performance for gaming, so I’m not necessarily chasing the best of either side.

I choose Windows because it's simpler to handle and offers a lot more functionality, though Linux works just as well.

Still struggling to get most games running on Linux, it seems Windows is the easier option.

Try dual booting? No, stick with Windows. You'll recognize Linux if you need it.

I just exited Linux. Wine is barely functioning, but it still works for simple media playback and web browsing.

Unless you're tight on funds and can't afford windows, get some. Linux works well overall, but if you don't need it much, you shouldn't feel pressured to use it. For instance, I mainly rely on Linux for my programming tasks because it's easy to install development tools.
