I purchased an OEM copy of Windows 7 to cut costs. Microsoft recommends using their OEM Pre-Installation Kit (OPK) for resale purposes. Since this is my personal machine, should I bother with the OPK? Is it necessary to install it directly from the disk? Are there any benefits in the included kit?

Deploy it directly and it will swap the window splash with your custom mobile splash screen

It looks like you're having trouble accessing the OPK and might need to be a Microsoft Partner. Seems like there aren't any free Windows 7 copies available right now.
