Looking for affordable Windows options for your first PC. The most budget-friendly choices are likely Windows 7 or Windows 10 Home, both of which are still supported. Comparing versions matters—older editions may lack modern features while newer ones offer better security and support. Donation keys aren’t typically shared publicly, but you might reach out to friends or communities that help with free software.

You could obtain Windows 8 via Microsoft's media creation and then activate it using KMSPico. It can also be downloaded from a torrent site, but purchasing a genuine Windows 8 key is recommended for legitimacy. Windows 7 support has ended beyond just basic security patches.

The Windows 10 preview is available at no cost, but it will expire once the full version launches.

However, I can install Windows 7 on the cheap and upgrade it later for free to Windows 10.

It's a solid observation, if you're considering the key.

You don’t necessarily require a key; you can install Win10 directly from the Windows 7 installation media.

I can guide you to the Windows 10 upgrade page, but I don’t have a direct link. You should visit the official Microsoft website and navigate to the "Upgrade & Security" section.
