It's often an easy habit to skip, which can lead to unwanted consequences if not handled correctly. Suggested step is to upgrade the operating system on the SSD. Your choice is yours.

The method is referred to as cloning. Various instruments can perform this task, but Marcium Reflect is often suggested as the top choice. If you own a Samsung SSD, it’s best to start with their Data Migration Tool first. Keep in mind that confirming the clone works properly requires actually booting from the cloned drive, not just checking its contents on the original. Doing the latter might alter special values the OS expects, which could affect whether updates were applied correctly.

I've encountered issues with Samsung's Migration Tool, which is different from Macrium Reflect. It appears to support only two partitions for migration. On the other hand, I've successfully migrated four partitions using Macrium Reflect, both free and professional versions, repeatedly without any difficulties.
