Windows on macos
I recently purchased this older MacBook Pro from late 2011. I replaced the old hard drive with an SSD and restored the OS to High Sierra. Now I need Bootcamp to also run Windows, allowing dual booting and eventually tripping into Linux Manjaro. However, the ISO isn't loading properly on the USB drive. I tried creating a bootable drive or just placing the ISO inside, but it doesn’t work. Could you help me out? Thanks!
Boot Camp Assistant guides you step by step, builds a bootable USB from the ISO, starts it automatically, and lets you install Windows 10 along with the Boot Camp tool for future OS changes.
The system cannot recognize the ISO format. Please insert the disk.
On the selection stage, picking the Win10 ISO instead of building the USB is recommended.
The assistant presents you with two options: installing the newest Windows drivers or installing Windows 7 or 8. You select the first one and proceed, then it prompts you to insert a CD.
I recognize this setup, then prompts for a USB connection, and finally confirms you're running Mojave on your mid-2012 MacBook Pro, noting that Boot Camp Assistant remains largely unchanged.
no unless someone found a way so what, do I have to burn a disk ?
