Hey there! I bought a fairly inexpensive Lenovo desktop a while back, planning to use it as a home server. It actually works quite well at first, but then it starts to freeze unexpectedly. I’ve dealt with this problem since the purchase, and after some attempts, I lost interest and let it sit, only to come back later and face the same issue again. I’m not sure what’s causing it—sometimes the screen just freezes, mouse movement stops, network drops, and it doesn’t respond except during a hard reboot. The system is now running Windows 11 Pro, but there was a time when Linux was used, and the problem happened then too. This makes me think it might be a hardware issue, though I’m not sure which part is affected. I’ve replaced the RAM for more capacity and in case it would help, but it hasn’t resolved the problem. It seems to happen randomly—sometimes the PC runs for hours without trouble, other times it fails completely within an hour. Could anyone suggest possible causes or solutions? Any ideas would be appreciated!

It seems the device includes an SSD. There are also BIOS updates available. I plan to apply the update first, then run a diagnostic to check the results.
