I've been comparing the Macbook Air and the Dell XPS 13. It's clear that installing Windows on the Mac is straightforward. I'm unsure about any optimization challenges with Windows on a Mac. The two models look quite similar in performance, though I assume the Mac is running OS X. Anyone have insights on performance after setting up Windows via Boot Camp without virtualization?

Bootcamp works with OS X directly on the device, meaning no slowdown. I own a Mac Mini from late 2011 with Windows 10 and OS X El Capitan installed side by side.

You must manage the small storage space on your MacBook. Otherwise, it functions similarly to dual-booting across different systems.

It won't. The system operates straight through the hardware without any virtualization involved.

coming from a different platform? It will behave as if it were on a standard Windows machine. -- that said, I've noticed someone playing Skyrim on a MacBook Air...

The performance of your Mac laptop drops significantly under Windows, which seems unusual.

If you skip using a virtual machine, the experience will be quite lacking. The MacBook Air offers much less power compared to a XPS 13. Additionally, features like the touchpad, wireless card, and other parts won’t receive top-tier support since Apple doesn’t provide Windows drivers.

That would be referring to clock speeds directly. I'm going with a straightforward comparison. lol

This isn't typical, is it?
