in my start menu two icons for programs disappeared and were replaced with a generic one... when I opened the tile it displayed the right icon for some but not others. It also reported it couldn't locate a program when I tried to change its icon, even though the folder was open and the correct placement existed. The issue seemed strange, so I removed the programs from start and reinserted them. It’s unusual, and I’m curious about how this occurred and whether there’s a way to stop it from happening again. I’ve checked all drives for errors, but nothing was found. Just to clarify, these are the icons/links I’m referring to—none were custom, and the other program wasn’t either.

Is this related to a database problem? No changes were made, and nothing was moved. This shouldn't have occurred. I didn’t restart the PC or Explorer to fix it, and it wasn’t a PC issue.
