I was trying to fix a problem involving WMP12 not playing 4:3 videos in 16:9. I'm using Windows 7-64 bit. I installed K-Lite and pretty much everything that came with it, which ironically is another Windows Media Player. Here's some proof of what has happened. I have Windows Media Player installs here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Media Player and here C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player If that was normal, when I Right-Click and choose to OPEN WITH, two options for Windows Media Player pop up. If I try to play two different videos with the two different WMPs listed, playing the 2nd will override the first player. If I follow this guide it disables Windows Media Player and Media Center. Both of the installs from what I can see. This doesn't solve getting rid of the extra instal that came pre-packaged with K-Lite. If anything I thought it was gonna override or skip WMP, I didn't think this would happen. http://helpdeskgeek.com/windows-7/uninst...windows-7/ Is there a way to get rid of the extra K-Lite install? Does having Window Media Player folders in Programs (x86) and Program Files normal? ------------------------------------ I seriously can't tell if K-Lite did anything at all. I got it from this page. http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm Media Player Classic has aspect ratio options that work, so does VLC, but not WMP12. Is there a fix for that?
